The interregional forum “Legal regulation of status of municipal employees and elective officials of local self-government” is held on June 19 in Penza.
The forum organizer is the All-russian public association “The Russian Federation Council on Local Self-Government (RFCLSG)”. Heads of regional branches of RFCLSG of the Volga Federal District, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation – members of the Council, representatives of the Penza Region municipal community take part in the forum. In the address of the Penza Region Governor V.K.Bochkarev to the forum participants, read out by N.G.Kozenko, Head of the Penza Region Government staff, they emphasize that municipal self-government is an important resource of State development. “The quality of work of local authorities directs society. At the same time it is necessary to ensure wider participation of citizens in discussion of issues representing interests of localities”, says Governor in his address. The Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Y.N.Rudensky named local self-government as the priority direction for United Russia. He came out in favour of involving of municipalities in the discussion and forming of budget processes. In the course of the meeting they discussed the results of RFCLSG work during the past year and the issues of legal regulation of status of municipal employees and elective officials of local self-government. In the framework of the forum they signed an agreement on interaction between the Penza Region branch of United Russia and the Penza Region branch of RFCLSG.
