The Official Site of the Sports and Athletics Meeting of Russian School Pupils that will be held in Penza is launched.

Penza will become the capital of the III Summer Sports and Athletics Meeting of Russian School Pupils in summer 2007. The official site is launched to this forthcoming event (www.spartakiada-penza.ru). The site incorporates detailed information on Penza and the Penza Region. Preparations to the contest are elucidated as well. Besides that you can see outstanding sportsmen natives of Penza on the site. There were 15 regions of the country laying claim to hold this prestige contest. However, the Federal Agency of the Russian Federation for physical culture and sports (Rossport) showed preference to the Sura land.

The ceremonial beginning of the contest will take place at the stadium “Pervomaysky” in Penza on the 21^st of July. The contest in 29 kinds of sport will be held. Besides usual kinds of sport (swimming, gymnastics, diving and triatlon) in which sportsmen of Penza are always reckoned among prize-winners, spectators will see contests in synchronous swimming, mounting bike, handball, softball, baseball and bow shooting.

More than 30 creative collectives will be drawn into organization of cultural program for the participants of the III Summer Sports and Athletics Meeting of Russian School Pupils. Among the collectives there is the O.V.Grishin chorus, the choreographic collectives “Kazachya Zastava”, “Venzelya”, “”Kabluchok”; the ensemble of folk instruments “Stargorod”, the Governor’s choir under V.V.Kashirsky, the folk ensembles “Miryane”, “Rechen’ka” as well as national collectives and groups of modern variety dance.
